![]() When Batman needed to get back in shape after Bane broke his back, Lady Shiva was the only martial artist in the world good enough to challenge him. ![]() And while she’s really good at pickpocketing and comebacks, she doesn’t seem to have any supernatural powers. Birds of Prey reimagines Cassandra as foster child who has turned to pickpocketing to fund her lifestyle. Her character is completely different in the film. Who plays Cassandra Cain in the movie?Īfter small appearances in Veep and Teachers, Ella Jay Basco makes her big screen debut in Birds of Prey. Her upbringing allows her to read body language as if it were speech, giving her an uncanny ability to predict her opponent’s movements. What are Cassandra Cain’s powers or abilities?Ĭassandra is possibly the greatest martial artist in the DC Universe. In 2015 the writers and artists behind Batman and Robin Eternal brought Cassandra back to continuity with a similar origin story (minus the part where she got to be Batgirl). Kelley Puckett and Damion Scott created Cassandra in 1999, and she became the star of the first ongoing Batgirl series, which ran for over 70 issues between 20. She went through some continuity ups and downs after that, including being erased from existence, but these days she’s still kicking around Gotham City as the vigilante known as Orphan. Barbara Gordon eventually chose her to become her successor as Batgirl. In exchange for a childhood of trauma and only learning to speak when she was a teen, Cassandra is one of the best martial artists in the DC Universe - maybe the best. Could he raise a child in such a way that her brain could read physical movement as if it was language? This is comics, so the answer was “Yes.” The first time he ordered her to kill Cassandra “read” her dying victim’s body language and resolved never to kill again. ![]() The daughter of two of the DC Universe’s greatest assassins, Cassandra was her father’s experiment. Goldman Sachs analysts said that the latest news on China’s Covid management has been “confusing” to investors. “The keen driver of the prompt downside momentum is the growing unease that China will not loosen Covid lockdown policies because infections are rising again,” said Stephen Innes, managing partner of SPI Asset Management. Secondly, me being "higher than D5" wouldn't change anything in the guide. First of all, I basically stopped climbing for a while after achieving D4 (yes, I got to D4 and eventually demoted to D5 again), didn't see much point to it back then, and I didn't really dedicate to actually climbing higher. I shouldn't dwell too much in this, I don't think either of us would gain anything from it, since you don't seem to like actual discussion.Īh, first one of these comments, I see. Your mindset also stifles innovation completely, since by the way you've acted so far, it really looks like you only want people to play what's viable and meta, and since Zed isn't "meta" and "lowers your winrate by 50%" (which, to be quite honest, doesn't really make sense), he isn't pickable.Īlso, this isn't really relevant, but I do love the fact that you explicitely joined this thread, only to post something that literally adds nothing to the discussion, what so ever. Let's just say this mindset of yours really doesn't agree with both the game's own design (meaning, how the game is supposed to be played, in which Soraka AS crit top isn't a relevant factor, mind you) and the mindset of any self-and-other-respecting League player. ![]() I enjoy when people twist an argument I make into their own perversion of it. Mages, are generally less counterable (this statement is very, very broad, of course), since most of them are ranged, but they don't counter their easy matchups as much. So, wrapping that up, assassins counter easier, but are also countered harder. So basically, if you're already a reliable mage player, picking up assassins is very beneficial for some specific matchups, perhaps one that counters the mages you play, but doesn't do the same to our assassins. Mages are generally more reliable, they don't get countered as hard by their counters as assassins do, but they often also don't counter their easy lanes as hard. Therefore, if you can play assassins reliably, whenever you find a matchup that's very easy to snowball off, you can essentially just steamroll the entire match, making it very difficult to. Yeah, there's a few benefits, most of them lying in the fact that assassins snowball really hard if you get going. Zed could have a higher skill ceiling, though, so there's that. I might be bias because I play both these champions (although, Zed a LOT more than Azir), but from a base level, Azir is arguably more difficult to pull off. Zed focuses on the assassin parts of mechanics, the fast and loose ones, and usually the ones that pop up in highlight plays. ADC mechanics and knowing your ranges and potentially being adept at things like the Shurima Shuffle. Basically, it comes down to, Azir is more about like. Zed does the latter the most, but also shadow placement mechanics, timing your ultimate to dodge stuff "mechanics" and such things. Azir excels with kiting, orb-walking and general game sense (and obviously some classic old twitchy mechanics). They're also not that comparable in what kind of mechanics you require. Azir has a pretty high skillfloor and a high skill ceiling, and Zed has an average skillfloor and a very high skill ceiling. Honestly, I don't see much point in comparing difficulty, since they're two different kinds of difficulty. ![]() LoL Subreddit: The Main LoL Subreddit: /r/leagueoflegendsīy clicking the following links you can filter our specific post types ![]() If you are banned from /r/SummonerSchool, you may also be banned from our Discord. ![]() You can use ground turkey or chicken, but I think the flavor could be a little lacking compared to beef.įor those who want to make a vegan/vegetarian version, you can omit the meat completely. The korokke sold from the butcher shops are delicious, and you know the reason – high-quality meat! I usually use high-quality 85% lean ground beef for more flavor. Typically, Japanese croquettes use ground beef but sometimes can use ground pork. Because it could possibly burn fingers, I excuse myself for not following her method 100%. For Korokke, use Danshaku or do as my mom who uses roughly 85-90% Danshaku and adds 10-15% May Queen because she likes to be different… She also believes she should boil potatoes with the skin on, and then peel it with fingers while they are hot. If you’re in Japan, there are “May Queen” (メークイン) and “Danshaku” (男爵) potatoes. They are the best at soaking up the juice and flavor from the meat and onion. For making Korokke, the Russet potatoes are the ideal choice since the starchy, fluffy, and light texture makes for the perfect bite. In the US, the most common potatoes are Russet potatoes, red potatoes, and Yukon Gold potatoes. Why You’ll Love This Korokke Having tasted my mom’s homemade korokke, I just couldn’t bring myself to eat the ones from the stores or restaurants because they are made of mostly potatoes and the taste is rather bland. You can buy fried korokke to take home at butcher shops, order it at diners and restaurants, and buy it in pre-cooked food (Sozai) and bento section at supermarkets and convenience stores. In Japan, Korokke is a homemade food as well as a street food. These Japanese potato croquettes became one of the top 3 popular Yoshoku (western-influenced dishes) in the early 1900s (Taisho period) along with beef steak and Tonkatsu. Korokke was introduced in Japan around the late 1800s as a potato filling instead of the traditional French creamy croquettes due to the lack of dairy in Japan. The flat oval-shaped patties are breaded with light and airy panko breadcrumbs and deep-fried till golden brown and crispy. Japanese croquettes are called Korokke (コロッケ) and the classic style is made of mashed potatoes mixed with sauteed ground beef and onion. You too can do the same! Feel free to add a dash of curry powder, incorporate carrot and shiitake mushrooms ( see this recipe), or swap the potato and meat with kabocha ( see this recipe). She often tweaks her korokke as a way to explore new flavors, such as one time she added miso for an extra boost. Today I’m going to share my mother’s recipe. It is the most delicious and comforting reminder of home! I could never resist the crispy panko exterior that breaks away into a luscious potato and meat mixture. Not any kind of korokke but the ones that my mother makes. If there was one food that I must have when I visit my parents back in Japan, it would be Japanese Croquettes or Korokke (コロッケ). This is my mother’s best recipe and I’m sharing her secrets with you. Soft and creamy on the inside and crunchy on the outside, Japanese Croquettes or Korokke is my absolute favorite Japanese food. ![]() You cannot drift aimlessly along and just hope for the best. This year, you will be developing a greater sense of your own purpose and you will be setting a definite course or direction for yourself. The first impression that the first frog had was that nothing could be done to change things, so why even try? 3 is the number of ‘the joy of living’ and it seems that the second frog enjoyed life enough to want to persevere in order to preserve it. The 3 Year urged you to see beyond your first impressions and face the reality of the situation. It was pessimism that defeated the first frog and caused it to drown. Last year, you learned about the power of optimism. The thrashing around turned the milk into butter and the frog was able to climb out. It went into survival mode and thrashed around and did whatever it could to stay afloat. The other realized (accepted) what had happened and could not accept such a fate. Those very sensations – the whole emotional range – are our natural responses to reality. The Will thrives on truth, even if the truth hurts.
